Know the Way when Exploring New Territory
When a team takes on a new challenge, it's hard to make a graceful start. When
picking up a new technology or technique, false starts and blind alleys are
taken for granted. Having sign posts and a map will get you there by a more
direct route. That's where our Project Guidance programs come in.
These programs are a unique blend of Seminars, Coaching and Consulting. We work
with a team that is taking on a new challenge in the context of a scouting,
prototyping or pilot project to get the best results possible from the
effort. A Guided Project consists of:
-
Preparation: Clearly defining the goals of the
project, and working with the team to decide which opportunity is most
appropriate for the project.
-
Kick-off: We provide a customized Seminar to the
team that is designed to best equip them for the task ahead. We follow up with
brainstorming and discussion on the project. What's the right way to attack the
problem? How do we divide the work? What's the business benefit? Where's the
learning opportunity? We emerge with a plan.
-
Periodic Review and Mentoring: As the project
progresses, we meet with the staff and management for regular reviews,
discussion and problem solving sessions. We record the learning as it happens,
and make needed adjustments to keep the project on track.
-
Wrap-up: We help with the wrap-up of the project,
recording the knowledge gained, lessons-learned and goals achieved in a
format that can be circulated and understood by the organization at large, so
the experience is beneficial to all.
If your team is trying something new and you would like to maximize the value of
the investment - our Project Guidance program will get you on the road, through
the pass and over the mountains.
